According to Ober-Haus Lithuanian Apartment Price Index, Vilnius apartment prices grew for the ninth month in a row in October 2013, up 0.3% to €1,208/sqm.
During the current year apartment prices in Vilnius increased by 1.6%, and since the lowest price level in May 2010, have increased 4.7% (+€54 EUR/sqm).
In October this year 864 apartments were sold in Vilnius, up 38% over the same period last year, and represents the highest volume of apartment sales in October for the last 10 years.
From their peak in 2008 though, prices are still down 40.9%.
In Panevėžys in October prices were up 0.4%, and the average price per square meter increased to €518 (+€3/sqm).
Kaunas meanwhile saw a 0.3% drop in October and the average price per square meter fell to €928 (-€3/sqm).
In Klaipėda and Šiauliai apartment prices remained the same as in September: €959/sqm and €550/sqm respectively.
In October 2013, apartment prices in Riga increased by 0.6% to an average price of €1,006/sqm. Over the past 12 months, their average apartment price has increased 1.7%. Prices in Riga are still more than 50% below their peak in 2007.
The average apartment price in Tallinn increased 6.6% to €1337/sqm in October 2013. Compared with October 2012, the average price has increased 21.4%.
In Poland during the last 12 months the price of apartments has dropped from 2.9% in Warsaw to 5.8% in Gdańsk. From the peak apartment price level to October 2013, apartment prices have dropped from 15.4% in Warsaw to 36.9% in Łódź.
